Marble Floor Restoration

By Mark On May 4, 2011 No Comments

We were called to have a look at these marble tiles as they were heavily scratched and in a poor condition with dirty grout lines.

Cleaning marble requires a marble floor specialist and this one of our areas of expertise, so we were pleased to be able to restore this lovely marble floor.

Due to its condition a full restoration was called for using diamonds to grind and polish the scratches out.

Then we deep cleaned all the grout lines and sealed the marble floor with a impregnator sealer.

Using the right equipment and specialist, we were able to restore this beautiful marble floor to its original glory.

Here are the pictures before we treated the marble floor;

The pictures below show an Altro safety flooring in a hospital that was being refurbished. The floor was in need of deep cleaning and restoration.

As we specialise in safety floorings, we were happy to assist and rose to the challenge!

The kitchen floor had heavy build up of ground-in dirt and grease our high pressured spinning heads attached to our  truck mounted cleaning system broke up years of dirt and grease build and paint splashes.

The hospital staff were very pleased with the end result – as were we! Please contact us with any enquiries relating to professional hospital floor cleaning.

York Stone/Flagstone Floor Restoration

Restoring a hidden York Stone Floor

The photos below show original York Stone flooring that has suffered years of neglect.

The current owners only found this potentially beautiful floor when they pulled the old carpet up and that’s when we received the call for help.

The York Stone tiles had been varnished several times and had been covered in cement.

The first picture shows the floor before the restoration process.

In the 2nd picture we show the removal of the varnish and any coatings using specialist strippers, removers and equipment.

The third picture shows the cement removed with specialist cement remover.

The York Stone floor is then prepared and  dried using powerful air movers.

Finally, the floor is then sealed using a natural stone sealer. The grout lines are filled, after which another two coats of natural stone sealant is applied leaving a clean and fresh looking floor.

This shows the complexity of York Stone cleaning; we are professionals and will tailor your stone cleaning to match your exact needs. We are happy to discuss any queries you may have and enjoy the challenge of achieving the best possible results for your natural stone flooring.

Marble Floor Cleaning with Excess Grout Residue

By Mark On March 2, 2011 No Comments

Newly laid marble floor with excess grout residue

These beautiful marble tiles in Leeds had just been laid.

It was part of 140m2 m project, but unfortunately it had been left with excess grout residue that the customer was unable to remove.

That’s when I received the call!

Instead of a nice polished marble floor, they were left with this dull looking marble tiling.

We used specialist cutting powders to remove the excess grout and then used marble polishing powders to fetch the floor back to how it should look.

The transformation was amazing!

A marble floor maintenance plan was put in place  with the very relieved and happy customer.

Marble floor cleaning and marble polishing produce some of the most spectacular results; please contact Natural Stone Cleaning Leeds with any marble restoration questions.
